In addition to calling the Service Desk, you can also Live Chat with the Big Sur Service Desk. The ability to Chat with the Service Desk has been given to you at No Additional Cost! To open a chat you must be subscribed to our Help Desk or Service Desk Offering and have the Big Sur Agent Installed. If you are unsure if your office has this subscription, please let me know.

To Open the chat, minimize your cloud and click on the Big Sur Logo. Once you do you can click on the “Service Desk Support” Menu. It will then open a web browser. At this point it will ask for your name, email, and phone number. Once you have put your information in, Click on Initiate Chat button. Once you do it will ask you to run a LOGMEIN Chat Program and that will start the chat with the technician. They will know exactly which site a  and device you are connecting from.

Charles Love has been working in the IT Support and Consulting field since 1997. Before IT, Charles was working on his FAA A&P Airline Mechanic Certification. Charles’ first managed services position was in 2001 on Farmingdale, Long Island, back then MSP’s were called Solution Providers. Throughout his career he has provided valuable consulting to various types of customers and technologies throughout North America. Charles started out as the first Big Sur full-time hire of the now rapidly increasing technical support team. As Director of Service and Cloud Operations, Charles’ role includes developing new and streamlined processes for all of Big Sur’s offerings and leading Big Sur’s highly talented team of engineers.

Charles’ daily focus is the operational duties mostly revolving around back end systems that our customers use. These systems include our HelpDesk, NOC Services, RMM Tools, Billing Systems, Backup Systems, Home Grown Cloud Farm, and various other customer facing cloud based products. In 2014 Charles was voted into the CompTIA Managed Services Executive Council. The goal of the Managed Services Community is to advance the managed IT services industry through the promotion of best practices, the development of tools and templates and the refining of educational tracks for MSPs.

Charles has also been invited to be a keynote speaker for many industry events. You can often find him at Managed Services Trade-shows participating on panels, or being involved in interactive sessions.

With a passion for customer support, you can count on Charles for caring about your infrastructure from the desktop to the cloud. Most people know Charles as the brains behind Big Sur’s latest technology solutions but what most people don’t know is that he moonlights as the Cub Master for his son’s Cub Scout Pack.
